A False Visionary Rejects the New Pope

For many months now, the claimed messages of private revelation to anonymous visionary “Maria Divine Mercy” have been speaking about the Pope who would succeed Pope Benedict XVI, claiming that he will be an imposter, not a valid Pope, and that he will be the false prophet who assists the Antichrist. These messages speak as if the whole Church on earth, the Pope with the body of Bishop, would go astray from the true Faith after the reign of Pope Benedict XVI.

Now that Pope Benedict XVI has validly resigned, and a new valid Pope has been elected, Pope Francis I, the messages are openly rejecting the Vicar of Christ on earth, the holy Roman Pontiff. This rejection is heretical and schismatic; it is essentially an apostasy from the Catholic Faith. To whom should we listen, then if the new Pope is to be rejected? The visionary who has given herself the exalted name “Maria Divine Mercy” offers messages saying that we should listen to her instead of the new Pope. A more self-serving prophecy was never known.

The latest message from “Maria Divine Mercy” is dated March 13th of 2013, the day of the election of the new Pope, Francis I. That post repeats the claims of previous messages that the Pope after Pope Benedict XVI is to be rejected:

“My beloved Pope Benedict XVI was persecuted and fled, as foretold. I have not appointed this person, who claims to come in My Name. He, Pope Benedict, will guide My followers towards the Truth.” (message to Maria Divine Mercy on 13 March 2013).

Really? Pope Benedict fled? He publicly stated that he was resigning of his own free will. Was he lying? And he is still living in Vatican City. As for the new Pope Francis, Pope emeritus Benedict XVI has pledged his obedience to him. Benedict XVI holds that Pope Francis I is the true Pope. So if we are to be guided by Pope Benedict after his resignation, why shouldn’t we accept his word and example that the new Pope is a holy and true successor to Peter and to Benedict?

Previous messages of this claimed private revelation, prior to the election of Pope Francis, referred to the next Pope after Benedict XVI as an imposter and as the false prophet of the Antichrist.

“The cunning imposter, who has lain in waiting in the wings, patiently, will soon declare his reign over My poor unsuspecting sacred servants. The pain he will inflict is too hard for Me to bear, and yet, his reign will culminate in the final purging of evil from within the core of My Church.

“He has carefully manipulated his position and soon his pompous demeanor will be seen amidst his splendid court. His pride, arrogance and self-obsession will be carefully hidden from the world in the beginning. To the outside world, a sigh of relief will be heard as the trumpets peal out to announce his term as head of My Church.

“The false prophet — he who poses as the leader of My Church — is ready to wear the robes, which were not made for him. He will desecrate My Holy Eucharist and will divide My Church in half and then by half again. He will make efforts to dismiss those loyal followers of My beloved Holy Vicar Pope Benedict XVI, appointed by Me.” (message to Maria Divine Mercy on 8 March 2013)

There are numerous similar claimed messages from this same visionary. They all contain the same claim that the new Pope will be evil and will not be a valid Pope, and that the whole institutional Church will then go astray. They tell the followers of Maria Divine Mercy to reject the new Pope. These messages are demonic; they are from fallen angels, not from Heaven.

As a faithful Roman Catholic theologian, I tell you what you must already know: anyone who rejects the authority of any one or more of the successors of Saint Peter, the holy Roman Pontiffs, sins gravely. For each Pope is given his authority from Christ himself, and each Pope speaks in the name of Christ and with the authority of Christ.

Therefore, anyone who adheres to the messages of “Maria Divine Mercy”, messages on the website called “The Warning Second Coming”, has chosen to reject Jesus Christ himself and to depart from the Roman Catholic Church, by committing the grave sins of apostasy, heresy, and schism. All such persons are automatically excommunicated under Canon law and under the eternal moral law of God.

Canon 751: “Heresy is the obstinate denial or obstinate doubt after the reception of baptism of some truth which is to be believed by divine and Catholic faith; apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith; schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him.”

Canon 1364 §1: “an apostate from the faith, a heretic, or a schismatic incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.”

A “latae sententiae excommunication” is an automatic excommunication. It is incurred and becomes effective by the knowing and deliberate commission of the aforementioned sins: apostasy, heresy, schism.

Their sin is schism because they refuse to submit to the authority of the new Roman Pontiff. Their sin is heresy because the messages of Maria Divine Mercy teach one grave doctrinal error after another, especially the heretical denial of the indefectibility of the Church. Their sin is apostasy because it is neither Catholic, nor Christian, to abandon the Church in order to follow a claimed prophet and visionary.

The Roman Catholic Magisterium infallibly teaches that the Church is indefectible. The Church can never go astray, can never become corrupt, can never be taken over by evil, can never lead us away from the path of salvation. Whoever says otherwise has chosen to depart from the one true holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Anathema sint.

Dear Ron Conte,Thank you for explaining things so well to us. You are truly full of the Holy Spirit. You see clearly and think clearly and you are not afraid to speak out against people who are doing the work of the devil, the Father of Lies.
    May God bless you abundantly.
