The Most Popular Heresies among Catholics today

Many Mass-going Confession-avoiding Catholics have fallen into at least material heresy. Examples:

* failure to believe in transubstantiation and the Real Presence
* belief that same-sex marriage is a type of marriage
* rejection of Church teaching on sexual ethics (on many points)
* rejection of Church teaching on contraception and abortion
* failure to believe that the teachings of the Church are the teachings of Christ
* failure to believe that some types of acts are always immoral (intrinsically evil acts)
* belief that the Bible contains errors on faith, morals, science, history, etc.
* rejection of the Church’s teaching on original sin and Adam and Eve
* failure to believe that the Magisterium can teach infallibly
and perhaps many other heresies as well.

These Catholics receive Communion without repentance and Confession. They hold positions of leadership in parishes and in Catholic organizations. They spread their many errors online. Some go so far as to teach their heresies and other doctrinal errors as if these falsehoods were merely a correct understanding of Church teaching.

And they themselves are uncorrectable. Like so many persons in secular society, their own understanding has become exalted above all other sources of understanding, including Tradition, Scripture, and the Magisterium. If the Bible contradicts their own thinking, they assume the Bible must be in error. If a Pope or Council disagrees with their ideas, they think that the Pope or Council must have erred. They cannot imagine that they themselves might be in need of teaching or correction.

The cement foundation for the great apostasy has been poured out. It has been reinforced with steel and is thoroughly dry. This foundation for the great apostasy is also massive. The vast majority of Catholics today have fallen into grave doctrinal errors and objective mortal sins, without repentance or Confession. Even the majority of teachers in the Church, priests and lay persons, have badly misunderstood many doctrines. They have inadvertently helped to lay the foundation for the great apostasy.

At the Synod of Bishops on 4 October 2015 — the 2000th anniversary of the Baptism of Jesus by John in the Jordan — the great apostasy begins. In reaction to the Synod, many conservative Catholics and most traditionalists will reject the teaching and authority of Pope Francis, falsely accusing him of heresy. And they will formally depart from the one true Church.

Then, after Pope Francis resigns in 2016 or 2017, his conservative successor (Pope Pius XIII) will not condemn him, nor reverse his teachings. So the conservatives who departed under Pope Francis will not soon return. Then many liberal Catholics will cry out against the teachings and decisions of the conservative successor to Pope Francis, and they, too, will depart from the one true Church. So the great apostasy progresses in two steps.

Within just a few years, most Catholics will formally depart from the Church. They will no longer call themselves Catholic. (Though some will attempt to set up a competing “Catholic” Church.) Many parishes will have so few Catholics in attendance that they will not be able to pay their bills. Today, few go to Confession; many go to Mass. But then, few will go to Mass or Confession. As many will attend Mass on Sunday as attend daily Mass today. The pews will be empty, even on Christmas and Easter. It will seem as if the Church is about to pass away.

Why are you surprised at this prediction? Do you not know that most Mass-going Catholics have already departed from the true Faith in their hearts and minds? Have you not noticed that most teachers of Catholicism have gone astray from true doctrine and sound theology in their teachings?

Catholics today are like a man who lives in a very old house, which has fallen into disrepair. The windows are broken, the doors are ajar, the roof is full of holes, and grass is growing up through the floor boards. Yet he does not notice. He tells all his neighbors how wonderful his house is. And no one can convince him to repair it.

The start of the great apostasy in October 2015 will indicate that the start of the tribulation is very near, at the threshold.

Take heed. Reform your life. Examine your conscience and GO TO CONFESSION!!! Do not receive Communion until you are repentant from your sins and have made a good confession. Read the Bible and the writings of the Saints. Study the teachings of the Magisterium. Shun any Catholic teacher who undermines or contradicts the teaching of Jesus in the Gospels and through the Magisterium. Learn the teachings of the Church on faith, morals, and salvation.

Once the tribulation begins, many will rush to the Church to try to learn Her teachings as quickly as possible. But the few sound teachers in the Church will be overwhelmed with students. Do not wait to begin learning the Faith. Most Catholics are poorly-catechized. Accept teaching and correction. Humble yourself before the wisdom of God in Sacred Scripture.

The Church is like a man standing on a street corner, offering free bread. The hungry and the starving pass by, refusing to take and eat, claiming to be full. The Church is like a physician offering a free clinic to a town with many injuries and illnesses. Yet the sick pass by, limping and in pain, refusing to accept treatment.

{17:25} But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
{17:26} And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of man.
{17:27} They were eating and drinking; they were taking wives and being given in marriage, even until the day that Noah entered the ark. And the flood came and destroyed them all.
{17:28} It shall be similar to what happened in the days of Lot. They were eating and drinking; they were buying and selling; they were planting and building.
{17:29} Then, on the day that Lot departed from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and it destroyed them all.
{17:30} According to these things, so shall it be in the day when the Son of man will be revealed.
