Catholic hypocrisy on gay marriage

I’m a believing and practicing Roman Catholic. I make no apologies for believing what my Church teaches on any and all subjects, including teachings contrary to the prevailing views in secular society. The Church teaches that same-sex marriage is not a true type of marriage, neither a natural marriage nor the Sacrament of marriage. The Church also teaches that the only moral sexual act is natural marital relations open to life. Sex between persons of the same gender is gravely immoral, but so are many other types of sexual acts.

Some of my fellow Catholics have hypocritical positions on same-sex marriage and sexual ethics. They use contraception or abortifacient contraception, which are grave sins. They commit sins of lust, pornography, masturbation, pre-marital sex, and adultery. Then they loudly condemn gay marriage and homosexual relationships. They commit various types of sexual sins, including unnatural sexual acts within the Sacrament of marriage. Then they condemn homosexual sexual acts, which are also unnatural and also gravely immoral.

What percentage of Catholics, those who are against gay marriage, are themselves guilty of abortion, contraception, or various types of sexual sins? I have the impression that it is a large percentage.

In the Church today, there are the false teachers who promote and defend the use of abortifacient contraception, as long as you have a medical purpose in mind. But the Magisterium condemns abortifacient contraception as intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral, regardless of purpose or circumstances. The false teachers propose that Catholic married couples can use abortifacient contraception, continue to have sexual relations, and that the resultant deaths of the prenatals are justified. They are willing to kill their own children, rather than abstain from sex while taking an abortifacient. Then they tell homosexuals that they must abstain from sex.

In the Church today, there are also false teachers who promote and defend unnatural sexual acts within the Sacrament of marriage. They reject, ignore, or radically reinterpret the teachings of Saint Augustine, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Saint Alphonsus Liguori on this topic, as well as the teachings of the Roman Catholic Magisterium on intrinsically evil acts and sexual ethics. The false teachers claim that Catholic married couples can commit the same types of unnatural sexual acts as homosexual couples commit, but with moral impunity as long as an act of natural marital relations is included at some point (or was intended to be included).

Such wicked false teachings will not go unpunished by God. For teachers will have the stricter judgment (cf. James 3:1).

But these same false teachers, in their hypocrisy, condemn same-sex marriages and same-gender sexual acts as gravely immoral. Certainly they should condemn these things, along with a similar condemnation of abortifacient contraception and unnatural sexual acts in marriage and other grave sexual sins.

[Romans]
{2:19} you become confident within yourself that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
{2:20} an instructor to the foolish, a teacher to children, because you have a type of knowledge and truth in the law.
{2:21} As a result, you teach others, but you do not teach yourself. You preach that men should not steal, but you yourself steal.
{2:22} You speak against adultery, but you commit adultery. You abominate idols, but you commit sacrilege.
{2:23} You would glory in the law, but through a betrayal of the law you dishonor God.

Why do so many Catholics approve of gay marriage and homosexual relationships? It seems to me that they don’t want to condemn unnatural sexual acts because they themselves are unrepentant from various grave sexual sins. And that is the same reason that sinful secular society wishes to celebrate these things, rather than condemn them. If they condemn same-gender sexual relationships, they would also need to condemn many other sexual sins — otherwise, they would be hypocrites.

The only moral sexual act is natural marital relations open to life. All other sexual acts are intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral. Abortion, abortifacient contraception, and mere contraception are each intrinsically evil and always gravely immoral. And none of these intrinsically evil sins are ever justified by purpose or circumstances or anything else.

The Church teaches that intrinsically evil acts are always immoral, regardless of your intended end (purpose), regardless of the circumstances or consequences of the act, and regardless of what other acts you commit before, during, or after the intrinsically evil act. This teaching is being destroyed by false teachers who have radically reinterpreted the essential points of this doctrine so as to give approval to popular grave sins.
